MARC BY MARC JACOBS
Marc's fall collection took a military tour without losing it's sophistication. Marc women looked like wives of military officers who were dressed in colorful knee length dresses, the prints were very much taken from the nature. The most intriguing feature was the mix of these beautiful dresses with the flat army boots. Seriously, Loved it !
PROENZA SCHOULER
It was a very different collection this fall by Proenza Schouler ! Though they always give very much importance to the fabric but this time I think it was the construction which played a lot on their mind. Cropped jackets , asymmetrical hemline, skirts and jackets which had intrinsically painstaking hand woven strips of leather looked fabulous.
CALVIN KLEIN
CK fall winter collection was really beautiful. Known for its minimalistic designs, CK stuck to its basics. The garments were very structured, nipped nicely at the shoulders and the waist, were mostly in felted wool and leather. The dresses and skirt's hem were reduced to ankle and the metallic belts provided the right contrast. A very clean and nice collection, CK doesn't try too hard to be fashionable , they just have it in them !
LACOSTE
It was very very sporty and very very trendy too. Loved the geometric shapes, skinny leggings and the zippered bags. A lot of layering was done, guess that's the trend which will be looked forward to this winter.
ALEXANDER WANG
Wang's collection seemed a little bit futuristic, a little phantasmagorical in nature ! The garments were lacquered even the leather and the construction was really intriguing, especially the mix of fabric with the leather. It was a genius work !
DKNY
DKNY presented a very stylish collection which gave an idea of a very stylish corporate girl who later. Extensive use of all sorts of leather and fur in the garments and accessories made DKNY women look rich. The garments were cut very close to the body, the hem looked inspired from the peplum and the ankle length slim trousers were really nice.
Y3
Well, the best part of this line by Yohji Yamamoto is the fashion takes the route of sports. A lot of knitwear with volume in myriad colors were mixed and matched to give a very cool and relaxed look.
HELMUT LANG
It was a very neat collection, taking a cue from the nature and being minimal to a certain extent at the same time.
Loved the skinny leggings, blazers which were cut very close to the body and not to forget the nicely detailed leather jacket and the asymmetrical knit which were magnificent.
RAG & BONE
I think the collection was about Indian textiles being worn in a gypsy style . It was an intriguing mix of bright shades of fury red color and shades of Grey/White. A lot of layering and volume play was there which would definitely keep Rag & Bone women warm and stylish in next winter . Awesome !
JASON WU
Jason Wu's collection had entirely an Asian military wardrobe appeal to it. The beautiful Asian flowery motifs, jackets with extended shoulder, nicely cut ankle length slim trousers were really nice !
